About?  You mean about me…?  Erm, well what do you want to know?  There’s not a lot to tell really…er… I’m always hungry.

You want a quick life story…?  OK – born in Belgium to a Dutch ma (awesome mum and cook) and an English pop (awesome dad and very very occasional cook) .  Lived in Brussels , Madrid and bits of Holland when very young, but mostly London and then South Africa through my teens where I ate a wee bit of pretty much everything you’ll ever see on a David Attenborough documentary, and a few that you won’t any more, but I take no responsibility for that.  Moved back to England and then to Scotland for 15 chilly years.  I now live on the northern beaches of Sydney – heaven on earth and a beautiful way to thaw out.

I am very much an amateur cook.  I work as a computer programmer by day, but I have been amateurishly cooking for a lot longer than that – I love it…the cooking I mean.  And the eating of course, I love the eating.  I think if someone was to put me on death row and ask what I wanted for my final meal, I’d give them a list of ingredients and ask for a cooker and tell them to stand well back.
